February 24, 2025

Friday, 24 January 2025, President University (Presuniv) once again welcomed Dr. Vasyl Hamianin, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Indonesia. This marked his third visit to the university. Ambassador Hamianin’s visit was part of the President University Ambassador Lecture series, held at the Fabrication Laboratory (Fablab), President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jl. H. Usmar Ismail, Kota Jababeka, Cikarang. His lecture focused on Bilateral Relations between Indonesia and Ukraine.

Ambassador Hamianin highlighted the importance of learning languages in today’s increasingly globalized world. He praised Presuniv for its initiatives in encouraging students to use English. “I saw various posters reminding students to speak English. This is great. Personally, I am currently relearning French. The more languages we master, the more globally connected we become,” he remarked.

Beyond language learning, Ambassador Hamianin also spoke about unity. In Indonesia, unity is deeply ingrained in society and in the third principle of Pancasila. “When Indonesians introduce themselves, they identify as Indonesians first before mentioning their hometown. In other countries, people usually state their city of origin right away,” he noted. He then emphasized, “For a nation, its greatest asset is unity itself.” (Graciella V, PR Team.
