The inaugural edition of The President Forum, held at FABLAB, President University, presented an inspiring session with Gunawan Tjokro, Advisory Board member of Asosiasi Emiten Indonesia (AEI) and President Commissioner of Dynaplast. Through the book review “Overcoming Limitations, Achieving Success,” he shared his life journey from a modest family background to building a distinguished career across leading companies. His international academic background and professional experience proved that integrity, hard work, and family support are the key pillars of success. With a heartfelt narrative, he emphasized that limitations can serve as a starting point for achievement when approached with determination and thorough preparation.

Furthermore, Gunawan Tjokro highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in addressing the challenges of the modern workforce. He stressed that students must prepare early through applied research, hands-on practice, and strong networking, as “your network is your net worth.” His experiences illustrated how small connections from the past can later evolve into major opportunities.
