Saturday, 25 October 2025—The Faculty of Medicine, President University, achieved another milestone after winning first place in the Poster Competition on Occupational Health for Public Cleaners organized by Trisakti University.

The winning team consisted of Wiar Salsabila Shinta, Zidan Rizqi Adi Nugraha, and Salsabillah Azzahra, all students from Batch 2023 of the Faculty of Medicine, President University. Their poster, titled “Perlindungan untuk Pahlawan Kebersihan” (“Protection for the Heroes of Cleanliness”), focused on the occupational health risks faced by public cleaning workers, such as street sweepers, who are often exposed to various hazards including infectious waste, dust, noise, poor working posture, extreme weather, and traffic accidents.

The poster also presented practical preventive measures summarized in the acronym “GIAT”, which stands for:

• “Gunakan alat pelindung diri” (Use personal protective equipment)

• “Istirahat cukup dan minum air” (Get enough rest and stay hydrated)

• “Awasi dan hindari bahaya di tempat kerja” (Be aware of and avoid workplace hazards)

• “Terapkan kebersihan setelah bekerja” (Maintain cleanliness after work)

Through their work, the students aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of occupational safety and health, especially for public cleaners who contribute significantly to maintaining environmental hygiene.
