Monday, 16 December 2025—President University held PULU Jazz Night featuring Dwiki Dharmawan, an Indonesian songwriter, record producer, and conductor, at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University Campus, Jababeka City.

During the session, Dharmawan explained the concept of improvisation in music as an expansion of original tones that allows greater freedom of expression, particularly within the jazz genre. He emphasized that improvisation enables musicians to explore musical ideas beyond written compositions while maintaining their artistic identity.

He also shared his experiences performing before international audiences who were deeply impressed by Indonesian folk songs, highlighting the global appeal of Indonesia’s musical heritage. According to him, several of his original compositions were inspired by the cultural diversity of Indonesia, which continues to serve as a rich source of creative exploration.
