March 06, 2026

Wednesday, 11 February 2026— President University held a guest lecture titled “Accelerating National Research and Innovation Talent Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045” at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University Campus, Jababeka City, Cikarang, Bekasi. The session featured Heri Kuswanto, Director of Research and Development Talent at the Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.

During the lecture, Prof. Heri Kuswanto highlighted the unique position of President University students within Indonesia’s higher education landscape. He noted that the university’s international environment and full English academic system place its students several steps ahead compared to many others in the country. According to him, such advantages should not merely be seen as benefits, but as responsibilities.

“Privilege is a trust,” he remarked, encouraging students to demonstrate something greater through the opportunities they have received. He reminded the audience that the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 represents a critical milestone for their generation, emphasizing that the competition they face is not limited to the local level but extends globally.

He further explained that Indonesia does not lack intelligent individuals; rather, the country needs more builders—people who can solve problems, develop systems, and create tangible solutions for society. These individuals, he said, are characterized by their willingness to think differently and take bold steps toward innovation.

Closing the session, Prof. Heri encouraged students to pursue their goals with determination and courage. By cultivating the ability to build solutions and contribute through research and innovation, he emphasized that young talents will play a crucial role in shaping Indonesia’s future toward 2045.
