Thursday, 15 January 2026—During the inauguration of the Indonesia–China Partnership Institution (ICPI) at President University, held at the President Executive Club, Capitol District, Jababeka City, Cikarang, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, Chairman of the President University Foundation, highlighted the strategic importance of ICPI in strengthening educational, research, and cultural cooperation between Indonesia and China.

Budi stated that “ICPI is envisioned not only as an academic platform, but also as a strategic instrument for fostering future relations between Indonesia and China,” emphasizing that collaboration in education and culture plays a vital role in building long-term mutual understanding and trust between the two nations.

He further explained that since its establishment, President University has consistently provided scholarships to students from China. To this day, thousands of Chinese students have benefited from these scholarships and become part of the President University alumni community. Reflecting on their role, he noted that “thousands of Chinese students who studied at President University have become bridges of friendship and cross-cultural understanding between Indonesia and China.”
