Thursday, 15 January 2026—During the inauguration of the Indonesia–China Partnership Institution (ICPI) at President University, Prof. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed., Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, emphasized the importance of consistency and long-term commitment in building sustainable cooperation between nations.
Drawing from well-known Chinese proverbs, he reflected that major achievements always begin with small, deliberate steps. Referring to the Great Wall of China as a symbol of perseverance, he noted that even the most monumental accomplishments are built stone by stone. “Every initiative, no matter how small, if pursued consistently and continuously, will eventually lead to remarkable success,” he stated.
Prof. Abdul Mu’ti expressed his hope that ICPI would grow into an institution that not only strengthens governmental partnerships between Indonesia and China, but also deepens people-to-people relations. He underscored the importance of fostering encounters between Chinese and Indonesian civilizations, describing them as two great civilizations with shared responsibility in contributing to the development of global civilization through dialogue and mutual understanding.
