Tuesday, 3 February 2026— President University held another session of its PULU (President University Lyrics Unplugged) series at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University Campus. The session featured Arash Buana, an Indonesian singer-songwriter, music producer, and former child actor, who shared his creative journey and songwriting process with students.
During the discussion, Arash explained how he writes songs and how they are able to connect with listeners. “My job is to validate all of your feelings,” he stated, emphasizing that the emotions expressed in his music are intended to resonate with audiences. Although many of the songs he writes are closely related to his personal life, he reshapes the stories in a way that preserves his privacy while keeping them relatable. “The songs I write are personal, but I twist them so no one really knows,” he shared.
He also reflected on working amid hectic schedules and pressure, reminding students to prioritize effectiveness over speed. “With everything being hectic and full of pressure, what’s the point of rushing if it’s not effective? Work smarter, not harder,” he said.
