Monday, 15 June 2026 — President University, in collaboration with DFE-Tech, held Tech-Day 2026: Industry-Ready Engineering – Simulation, Innovation, and Real Practice at the Fabrication Lab (FabLab), President University Convention Center, President University Main Campus, Jababeka City. During the event, Dr. Eng. Ir. Lydia Anggraini, S.T., M.Eng., Head of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at President University, discussed the rapid transformation of manufacturing technologies and the competencies future engineers need to succeed in the era of Industry 5.0.

Lydia explained that engineering has entered the Industry 5.0 era, where advanced robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and machine-to-machine communication are increasingly integrated to create smarter and more efficient manufacturing systems. She emphasized that understanding these emerging technologies is essential for engineering students as industries continue to embrace digital transformation.

“Today, we have entered the era of Industry 5.0, where advanced robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and machine-to-machine communication come together to create smart manufacturing systems,” she said. Lydia encouraged students to continuously develop their technological skills so they are well prepared to contribute to the next generation of industrial innovation.
