President University’s 21st Graduation Ceremony Attended by National Leaders and International Dignitaries, Including 8 Ambassadors

Sunday, 14 December 2025—President University held its 21st Graduation Ceremony through an Open Senate Session at the President University Convention Center, Jababeka City. The ceremony was attended by national and international distinguished guests, reflecting the university’s strong engagement with government institutions, international organizations, and diplomatic communities.


From the government sector, the event was attended by Dyah Roro Esti, B.A., M.Sc., Vice Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia; Irene Umar, Vice Minister of Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia and alumna of President University; Dr. M. Samsuri, S.Pd., M.T., Secretary of the Directorate General of Science and Technology at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology; and Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., Head of LLDIKTI Region IV.


The Open Senate Session was also attended by ambassadors representing several countries. These included Md. Tarikul Islam, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Indonesia; Prof. Fekadu Beyene Aleka, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Indonesia; Sudqi Al Omoush, Ambassador of Jordan to Indonesia; Belmiro Jose Malate, Ambassador of Mozambique to Indonesia; Sheikh Abdul Karim Harelimana, Ambassador of Rwanda to Indonesia; Dr. Yassir Mohammed Ali, Ambassador of Sudan to Indonesia; Macocha Moshe Tembele, Ambassador of Tanzania to Indonesia; and Ta Van Thong, Ambassador of Vietnam to Indonesia.


Also present were diplomatic and international representatives, including Stephen Lorete, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to Indonesia; Nilanthi K. Pelawaththage, Head of Chancery of the Embassy of Sri Lanka to Indonesia; João Soares, Counselor of the Embassy of Angola to Indonesia; and Parisa Shahmohammadi, representative of the Embassy of Iran to Indonesia. From international organizations, Jeffrey Labovitz, United Nations Migration Chief of Mission to Indonesia, was also in attendance. The ceremony was further attended by Oh Joon, former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations (2013–2016), former President of the United Nations Security Council (2014), and former President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (2015–2016).


The presence of these figures underscored the significance of the 21st Graduation Ceremony as a milestone for both graduates and the broader academic and diplomatic community.
