The Faculty of Medicine at President University held an international seminar titled “Wisdom and Innovation: 60 Years Journey of Cancer Research and Treatment”, featuring Prof. Xu Kecheng, a renowned doctor and cancer researcher from China. Held on May 2nd, 2025, at Batavia Tower in Jakarta, the seminar highlighted Prof. Xu’s extensive journey in the field of oncology, including the development of non-conventional cancer treatments such as cryosurgery, immunotherapy, and hydrogen therapy—methods that have brought new hope to thousands of patients across the globe.

Inspired by the philosophy of The Art of War by Sun Tzu, Prof. Xu conveyed that cancer treatment is not solely a matter of medical expertise, but also involves wisdom, empathy, and innovation. He emphasized the importance of a holistic approach in understanding each patient’s condition, firmly opposing reliance on a single method. Over the past 60 years, Prof. Xu has published more than 500 scientific journals and has been a pioneer in introducing more humane and effective medical technologies.

The Faculty of Medicine at President University was honored to host Prof. Xu’s first-ever visit to Indonesia. This event reflects FKPU’s strong commitment to medical education that prioritizes innovation and international collaboration.
