Thursday, 3 September 2026 — President University welcomed Tiffany McDonald, Australian Ambassador to ASEAN, as a speaker on the first day of PREUNI 2026 at the President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jababeka City. She encouraged new students to recognize their role as the next generation of leaders who can contribute to ASEAN’s future and strengthen connections across borders.
McDonald said ASEAN’s future will be shaped by the younger generation, whose ideas and actions can create new ways of strengthening regional cooperation. She highlighted that diplomacy is not limited to governments, as connections between people across borders also contribute to stronger relationships and cooperation within the region.
“Do not underestimate your ability to create change,” McDonald said. She encouraged students to think about what they can contribute, get involved, and actively seek opportunities to make a difference rather than waiting for opportunities to come to them.
McDonald also urged students to study hard and develop skills while remaining open to different paths toward their goals. She encouraged them to build connections, learn from people about how they reached their current positions, and remain persistent in pursuing their dreams.
