Thursday, 3 September 2026 — President University welcomed Chairman of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia Sultan Baktiar Najamudin as a speaker on the first day of PREUNI 2026 at the President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jababeka City. He encouraged new students to use their university education not as an end in itself, but as a foundation for creating solutions to real-world problems.
Sultan said students are entering a world that is changing rapidly, including through the growing use of artificial intelligence. While AI can provide answers quickly, he emphasized that people must still determine which problems are worth solving and how knowledge should be applied. He also encouraged students to remain connected to their origins while learning and building relationships in an increasingly borderless world.
“AI can give you answers, but it cannot decide what is worth solving,” Sultan said. He challenged students to identify a problem they want to solve, understand its roots, and work toward solutions that can create lasting impact.
Sultan also reminded students that failure should not stop them from moving forward. He encouraged them to build valuable competencies and uphold integrity, highlighting three qualities for their university years: the capacity to read the world, the courage to solve problems, and the commitment to create lasting impact.
