Thursday, 3 September 2026 — President University welcomed Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections Prof. Dr. Yusril Ihza Mahendra, S.H., M.A., M.Soc.Sc., Ph.D., as a speaker on the first day of PREUNI 2026 at the President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jababeka City. He highlighted how university life gives students greater freedom to make choices while requiring them to take responsibility for the consequences.
Yusril said university provides students with opportunities to develop knowledge and skills while learning to stand on their own. He encouraged students not to measure their education only by the knowledge they acquire, but also by how they grow as individuals and learn to make responsible decisions.
“Freedom always comes with responsibility. You must always be prepared for the consequences of your choices,” Yusril said. He also highlighted the importance of learning to live with people from different cultures, languages, and beliefs, particularly in a diverse country like Indonesia.
Yusril expressed his hope that students would leave PREUNI 2026 not only with greater knowledge, but also with greater maturity. He encouraged them to use their freedom wisely as they begin their university life at President University.
