Friday, 24 October 2025—Two students from President University, Chairunnisa Nailah Salsabila from the Communication Study Program batch 2023 and Melisa Aprina from the Environmental Engineering Study Program batch 2024, achieved 1st place at the Kompetisi Debat Mahasiswa Indonesia (KDMI). The competition was held from 20–24 October 2025 at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed), Purwokerto.

KDMI is a prestigious national debate competition organized by Direktorat Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan (BELMAWA) under Puspresnas (Pusat Prestasi Nasional). The event brings together outstanding student debaters from universities across Indonesia to engage in structured debate, strengthen analytical skills, and foster intellectual discourse.

Competing against participants from hundreds of universities nationwide, Chairunnisa and Melisa demonstrated strong critical thinking, argumentation, and teamwork throughout the rounds, securing the championship title for President University.
