Wednesday, 13 May 2026 — During Taylor Swift’s Day at the Theater, President University Convention Center (PUCC), President University Main Campus, Ferawati Natalita, S.H., LL.M., a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and lecturer of the Taylor Swift course at President University, shared how the class examines Taylor Swift as a global phenomenon rather than solely as a musician.
According to Ferawati, students explore Taylor Swift's career journey, branding strategies, achievements, public image, and influence across multiple sectors. The course also discusses Swiftonomics, the economic impact generated by Taylor Swift on industries ranging from entertainment and tourism to consumer spending.
“It's about Taylor Swift's influence and the projects she has built. She is not only a singer or a brand builder,” said Ferawati. She added that the course encourages students to learn from subjects that may not traditionally be viewed as academic while understanding their broader social, cultural, and economic significance.
