Wednesday, 18 February 2026— President University held a lecture at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University Campus, Jababeka City, discussing career opportunities in international education. The session featured Ezra Alexander, Headmaster of North Jakarta International School, who shared insights on how educators can pursue careers in International Baccalaureate (IB) schools.
During the session, Ezra explained that IB schools are widely recognized as tier-one international institutions that uphold rigorous academic and professional standards. As a result, educators working in such environments are expected to possess strong knowledge and the ability to guide students in developing critical thinking and intercultural understanding.
However, he emphasized that the foundation of becoming a successful teacher in international schools lies beyond technical qualifications. According to him, genuine care for students is essential for educators. Enjoying the process of working with children does not necessarily mean being constantly cheerful, but rather having a sincere commitment to supporting their development and well-being.
Ezra also highlighted that pedagogical skills related to international curricula, including IB or Cambridge systems, can be learned and developed over time. What matters most, he noted, is the dedication to nurture students and the willingness to continuously grow as an educator.
