Wednesday, 13 May 2026 — President University continued its Pre-Fashion for Professionals program at the Fabrication Lab (FabLab), President University Convention Center, President University Main Campus. The session featured Gisela Alma, who shared insights on professional appearance, personal branding, and the importance of presenting oneself appropriately in professional settings.
During the session, Gisela emphasized that first impressions are often formed within the first few seconds of meeting someone. She explained that appearance, posture, and body language can communicate confidence and professionalism before a person even begins speaking. According to her, these non-verbal cues play an important role in how individuals are perceived during networking opportunities, interviews, and professional events.
Gisela also advised students to understand the nature of an event and its attendees before deciding how to dress. “When you attend an event, you need to know who will be there and adjust your appearance accordingly,” she said, emphasizing that dressing appropriately demonstrates professionalism and respect for the occasion. As a practical recommendation, she encouraged students to invest in a capsule wardrobe consisting of timeless and versatile pieces that can be easily mixed and matched for different professional situations.
