Cikarang, 20 January 2024 – President University held a guest lecture titled “Higher Education Collaboration between Indonesia and Palestine” at the Theatre Room, President University Convention Center, Jl. H. Usmar Ismail, Kota Jababeka, Cikarang. The event featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Zuhair SM Al-Suhn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Indonesia; Prof. Dr. Allam SA Mousa, former Minister and Director of the Innovation Park; and Prof. Dr. Waleed MO Sweileh, former Head of the Accreditation Commission and Dean of Scientific Research, both from An-Najah National University, Palestine.
This guest lecture was a significant moment in the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Palestine and served to strengthen cooperation in the education sector. The event aimed to explore potential collaborations that could offer mutual benefits to both nations. During the discussions, the speakers highlighted education as a vital tool for knowledge exchange and fostering mutual understanding between the two countries. Educational collaboration is envisioned as a bridge to bolster diplomatic ties while making a tangible impact on human resource development in both nations.
The event also emphasized the importance of partnerships based on mutual respect for sovereignty, equality, and shared benefits, reflecting the spirit of international cooperation. Through such collaborations, Indonesia and Palestine aim to support the development of higher education, open new opportunities for joint research, and expand access to academic resources.
