Thursday, 14 May 2026 — President University held an Alumni Gathering in Hanoi, Vietnam, bringing together nine Vietnamese alumni from Batch 2001 to Batch 2022 (graduated 2025). The event served as a platform to strengthen education diplomacy and reaffirm long-standing academic ties between Indonesia and Vietnam.
Since its establishment, President University has welcomed international students, including 12 students from Vietnam in its early years, and has since grown to more than 150 Vietnamese students who have studied and are currently studying at the university as full-time students. This reflects the continued expansion of educational collaboration and people-to-people connection between both countries.
The gathering was attended by Vice Rector for Partnership, Prof. Chairy; Ambassador Ibnu Hadi, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam (2016–2020); representatives from KBRI Hanoi; and Wijaya, Head of International Admission at President University. The presence of diplomatic representatives highlighted the role of higher education in strengthening bilateral relations through alumni engagement and academic mobility.
The initiative was also supported by KBRI Hanoi, represented by Made Santi Ratnasari, Head of Chancery and Function Officer for Education and Socio-Cultural Affairs, along with her team, underscoring Indonesia’s commitment to advancing education and cultural diplomacy in Vietnam.
