Friday, 14 November 2025—President University held a guest lecture at the FabLab, President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jl. H. Usmar Ismail, Jababeka City, featuring Ni Luh Enik Ermawati, widely known as Ni Luh Puspa, Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia. She delivered a session titled “Empowering Gen Z to Reimagine Indonesia's Sustainable Tourism.”
During her lecture, Puspa emphasized that Indonesia holds tremendous potential to become a global leading destination in the tourism sector. She explained that tourism is not merely the act of moving from one place to another, but a comprehensive ecosystem involving accommodation, culinary arts, transportation, lifestyle, and the creative industry. All these sectors, she noted, are interconnected and collectively contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth.
Puspa also highlighted the ongoing paradigm shift in global tourism. Today’s travelers no longer seek short-term entertainment alone; instead, they look for deeper, more meaningful experiences—authenticity, cultural immersion, local lifestyle, and natural beauty. “These are Indonesia’s strengths,” she stated, underscoring the nation’s unique position in the evolving global tourism landscape.
