Monday, 6 October 2025—President University held another session of the President University Leadership and Understanding (PULU) series featuring Purwa Tjaraka, widely known as Purwacaraka, a legendary Indonesian maestro and musician. The session took place at the Sahabat Global Lounge, 1st Floor, President University Main Campus, Kota Jababeka, Cikarang, and was moderated by Drs. Hary Wisnu Yuniarta, B.Mus.Ed., M.A.

In his opening speech, Dr. Handa Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Rector of President University, emphasized the importance of culture in education. He said, “We often hold music events. According to research, listening to music together brings people closer. At President University, students not only study but also learn about culture.”

During the session, Purwacaraka—who also founded one of the most renowned music school chains in Indonesia—shared his experiences and perspectives on creativity, entrepreneurship, and mindset. “When I was in class, I studied management in industrial engineering. All of my management skills, I learned behind the desk,” he said. He further emphasized that the key to success is entrepreneurship.
