President University Held President University Guest Lecture on the Role of Legislative Institutions in Legal Development

Tuesday, 7 October 2025—President University held another session of the President University Guest Lecture (PUGL) Series, featuring Dr. Afdhal Mahatta, S.H., M.H., who delivered a lecture on “The Role of Legislative Institutions in Legal Development.” The event took place at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, 5th floor of Building A, President University Main Campus, Kota Jababeka, Cikarang.


In his lecture, Dr. Afdhal emphasized that legislative institutions play a crucial role in shaping and refining the country’s legal framework. He explained, “Every law must undergo extensive deliberation and adhere to several key principles, including the principle of clarity of purpose, the principle of institutional authority, the principle of suitability between type and content, the principle of implementability, the principle of efficiency and usefulness, the principle of clarity in formulation, and the principle of openness.” (Graciella V, PR Team.
