President University Held President University Ambassador Lecture (PUAL) Featuring H.E. Yasser El-Shemy, Ambassador of Egypt to Indonesia

Wednesday, 8 October 2025—President University held a session of the President University Ambassador Lecture (PUAL) series, featuring H.E. Yasser Hassan Farag El-Shemy, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Indonesia. The event took place at the Fabrication Laboratory (Fablab), President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jl. H. Usmar Ismail, Kota Jababeka, Cikarang.


In his opening remarks, Handa Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Rector of President University, highlighted the role of education as a bridge for cross-cultural understanding. He stated, “Through education, we can understand more about culture. I hope this university can be one of the bridges that allows more Egyptian students to study in Indonesia.”


Meanwhile, Ambassador El-Shemy emphasized the strong common ground between Indonesia and Egypt, particularly in addressing global challenges. “We share many similar perspectives on current international issues and great potential for economic cooperation,” he explained.


At the end of the session, Ambassador El-Shemy also introduced Egyptian cuisine by offering Falafel and Zalabeya for all participants to enjoy, providing a taste of Egypt’s rich culinary culture.
