President University Held Open Senate Assembly to Officiate New Students as Part of PREUNI 2026

Thursday, 3 September 2026 — President University held an Open Senate Assembly at the President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jababeka City, to officiate its new students as members of the President University community as part of PREUNI 2026. The ceremony also featured the symbolic first wearing of the President University Alma Mater by the new students.

The assembly featured speeches and guest lectures from university leaders, Indonesian government officials, international representatives, alumni, and public figures. From President University, speakers included Rector Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., and International Chancellor Prof. Ki-chan Kim.

Representing the Indonesian government were Irene Umar, Vice Minister of Creative Economy of Indonesia and President University alumna from the Class of 2005; Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, Chairman of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia; and Prof. Dr. Yusril Ihza Mahendra, S.H., M.A., M.Soc.Sc., Ph.D., Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections.

The international delegation included Tiffany McDonalds, Australian Ambassador to ASEAN; Ambassador M.I. Derry Aman, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to ASEAN; and Matthew Johnson-Idan, Head of the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Indonesia.

The program also featured President University alumnus Paul Luo, Co-Founder and President Director of PT Batavia Prosperindo Investama and PT Batavia Prosperindo Internasional Tbk and a member of the Class of 2002, the university’s first cohort, as well as Puteri Indonesia 2026 and Miss Supranational Asia & Oceania 2026 Agnes Aditya Rahajeng.
