September 02, 2026

Thursday, 9 July 2026 — President University hosted Paul Luo Xude, Co-Founder & CEO of PT Batavia Prosperindo Investama and Director of PT Batavia Prosperindo Internasional Tbk, as a guest speaker for “Leverage AI to Build a Meaningful College Life” at the Fabrication Lab (FabLab), President University Main Campus, Jababeka City. Paul is also a first-batch alumnus of President University, bringing his experience as both an alumnus from batch 2002 and business leader to the session. The session encouraged students to understand that while AI can support their work, the responsibility for using its output remains with the person behind the technology.

Paul emphasized that AI can help students create, solve problems, and complete tasks more efficiently, but it cannot replace human judgment. “You can use AI, but how do you check whether it is correct or not? This is your job,” he said. His statement underscored the importance of students remaining actively involved in the process, from questioning and verifying AI-generated information to evaluating its relevance and deciding how it should be used.

He also encouraged students to first identify what they need AI for before choosing how to use it. Rather than allowing AI to determine the direction of their work, students should use it as a tool to support their own goals and decision-making.
