The Faculty of Medicine at President University held an international seminar titled “Wisdom and Innovation: 60 Years Journey of Cancer Research and Treatment” on May 2nd, 2025, at Batavia Tower, Jakarta. The keynote speaker, Prof. Xu Kecheng, a renowned cancer specialist and researcher from China, presented his pioneering approaches in cancer treatment, which include cryosurgery, immunotherapy, and hydrogen therapy—methods he has developed and refined over more than six decades.
Prof. Xu shared a wealth of clinical insights and findings drawn from treating thousands of patients across more than 100 countries. He emphasized the importance of combining scientific knowledge with empathy when treating cancer patients. The seminar featured compelling data and case studies that showcased the significant potential of non-conventional treatment methods, particularly in enhancing patients’ quality of life and life expectancy.
