Monday, 15 June 2026 — President University, in collaboration with DFE-Tech, held Tech-Day 2026: Industry-Ready Engineering – Simulation, Innovation, and Real Practice at the Fabrication Lab (FabLab), President University Convention Center, President University Main Campus, Jababeka City. During the event, Ir. Yosef Barita Sar Manik, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at President University, emphasized the growing importance of engineering simulation technologies in preparing students for the future of digital manufacturing.

Yosef explained that simulation software such as Ansys enables engineers to better understand how products perform internally, analyze design mechanisms, and conduct virtual testing before physical production. He noted that these technologies allow engineers to visualize complex engineering processes more efficiently while supporting the growing adoption of digital manufacturing and remote engineering practices.

“As future engineers, you will not only compete by creating strong or flexible designs. You will compete with many other innovations, and if you cannot adapt, today's designs will quickly become obsolete,” he said. He encouraged students to master engineering simulation tools, emphasizing that these competencies will become valuable assets as they enter an increasingly competitive engineering profession.
