Friday, 17 July 2026 — President University’s SetSail BizAccel, the university’s business incubator, held “BizStart – Building Start-Up while Studying” at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, 5th floor, Building A, President University Main Campus. The session featured Frank G.J. Situmorang, Chief Marketing Officer of Transmora Kreasi Nusantara, and Lucky Esa, former Technology Specialist at Microsoft, who shared practical insights on turning ideas into solutions and building start-ups while studying.
Lucky reminded students, “Stop inventing, start solving. The market is waiting for your solution, not your code.” He encouraged them to act on their ideas rather than assuming they have unlimited time, as competitors may develop similar solutions while they wait.
Frank challenged students to move from showcasing ideas at the Economic Survival Exhibition to validating them in the real business world. “Praise doesn’t pay,” he emphasized, encouraging students to understand their customers, identify specific problems, and determine whether people are actually willing to pay for their solutions.
Frank also introduced students to a customer-focused approach, from understanding the people experiencing the problem to defining customer archetypes and developing a prototype. He encouraged students to seek genuine feedback before launching a product or service and to ask whether they were solving a real user problem or simply creating an app.
