On July 31st, 2025, President University and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) officially signed a Letter of Understanding at the university’s Conference Room. This agreement was represented by Francis Teoh, UNHCR Representative in Indonesia, and Dr. Handa Abidin, Rector of President University. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to enhancing education collaboration and protection efforts for refugees and asylum seekers in Indonesia.

Through this collaboration, President University reaffirms its dedication to community service and global citizenship by supporting initiatives that raise awareness and provide direct assistance to refugees. As part of the ongoing partnership, UNHCR has also contributed to academic enrichment at the university, such as through guest lectures that expose students to real-world humanitarian issues.
