Friday, 8 May 2026 — Jaslin Dhabitah, B.S.S., a University of Notre Dame scholar and graduate scholarship recipient, shared her academic journey during the Alumni Sharing Session 2026 held at President University Main Campus, Jababeka City.
Unlike many scholarship recipients who focus primarily on organizational activities, Jaslin explained that her path was largely shaped by research. Through various research projects, she explored different topics, traveled to diverse locations, and engaged with people from various backgrounds. These experiences broadened her perspective and strengthened her academic profile.
Reflecting on her journey, Jaslin encouraged students to take advantage of opportunities available to them and actively pursue experiences that align with their interests. “There are a lot of opportunities, but the question is: do you want to chase them?” she said.
She also advised students to build strong relationships with lecturers throughout their studies. Beyond providing academic guidance, lecturers can play an important role in supporting scholarship applications through mentorship and recommendation letters. Her session highlighted how curiosity, initiative, and meaningful experiences can become valuable assets when pursuing international academic opportunities.
