Tuesday, 19 May 2026 — During the guest lecture “Digital Media That Moves People” at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, 5th Floor, Building A, President University Main Campus, Muhammad Sigit Andhi Rahman, Ph.D., Head of the International Relations Study Program at President University, encouraged students to seek international experiences as a way to broaden their perspectives and contribute to society.

Drawing from his experience as a Fulbright Awardee, he reflected on how studying abroad had shaped both his personal and professional development. He emphasized that some experiences do more than simply mark a stage in life; they become transformative moments that influence who a person becomes. He also shared how his time in the United States gave him lasting connections and a deeper understanding of different cultures.

“There are phases that we only pass through, but there are also phases that make us who we are,” he said. He encouraged students to take advantage of opportunities to study, intern, or participate in international programs abroad, noting that some lessons cannot be gained solely through reading or lectures. He also reminded students to bring back the knowledge, networks, and resources they gain overseas and use them to contribute positively to their communities and country.
