President University held a guest lecture featuring Ian Eryanto Wongso, the Founder of Jakarta Go, as part of its commitment to entrepreneurial education. On April 30th, 2025, Ian shared the story of how Jakarta Go transformed from a humble food-focused social media account into a multi-faceted content platform. Realizing the importance of understanding his audience, mainly aged 25–34, he began diversifying content to include topics like health, property, and lifestyle, which helped broaden the brand’s appeal.
When the pandemic hit and Jakarta Go lost all its revenue, Ian made a daring decision to invest everything into Indonesia’s first Drive-Thru Haunted House. The project became a national sensation, attracting 72,000 visitors in 72 days and gaining over 20 million views on YouTube. This breakthrough highlighted the power of bold thinking and timely innovation in times of crisis.
The success didn’t end there. The haunted house expanded to cities across Indonesia, drawing over a million attendees and earning a record from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). Jakarta Go continues to evolve, launching new initiatives like Tenten—a platform for interest-based communities—and a ghost train ride in Grand Wisata Bekasi.
By hosting this event, President University strengthens its dedication to bridging academic knowledge with real-world innovation. It’s part of the university’s mission to expose students to trailblazing entrepreneurs and equip them with the courage and creativity needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. (Rachel V, PR Team.
