Thursday, 15 January 2026—During the inauguration of the Indonesia–China Partnership Institution (ICPI) at President University, Prof. Dr. Drs. Chandra Setiawan, M.M., Ph.D., Chairman of ICPI President University, introduced ICPI as a trusted cooperation institution and center for China studies dedicated to strengthening Indonesia–China relations through education, research, and community engagement.
Prof. Chandra further outlined ICPI-President University’s three main pillars, namely the Sinology Center, which focuses on multidisciplinary studies on China and cross-cultural understanding; the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Center, which examines strategic economic and infrastructure cooperation; and the Industry and Talent Development (ITD) Center, which connects academia with industry through talent development and applied collaboration.
Emphasizing ICPI-President University’s orientation toward real impact, he stated, “We are committed to delivering tangible impact through the Tridharma of Higher Education: relevant education, applied research, and solution-oriented community service,” positioning ICPI-President University as a key platform for sustainable and productive cooperation between Indonesia and China.
