In a powerful presentation at President University Fablab, Cikarang, Drs. The presentation was part of the "Patent Commercialization Strategies: From Invention to Economic Innovation" event, conducted on June 11th, 2025, and attracted participants from academic and research institutions.

Drs. Yasmon provided a data-driven overview of patent applications in Indonesia from 1991 to April 2025, showing a rising trend in domestic applications and emphasizing the increasing role of local universities in patent innovation. He encouraged research that is community-need driven and supported the establishment of dedicated IP Management and Technology Transfer Offices in universities. He also outlined DGIP’s efforts in supporting inventors, including low-cost patent fees, a five-year annual fee exemption, and national platforms like IP marketplaces and innovation exhibitions.

As part of its strategic direction, President University is committed to developing a strong IP ecosystem on campus and actively supports students and faculty in pursuing patentable research and ensuring that their innovations reach the marketplace to benefit society and the economy at large.
