President University held a guest lecture event titled "Patent Commercialization Strategies: From Invention to Economic Innovation" at the President University Fablab, Cikarang. The event brought together experts from academia, government, and international organizations to discuss the role of intellectual property (IP) in supporting economic growth. The guest lecture took place on June 11th, 2025, and was attended by students, lecturers, and researchers from various faculties.
The event featured three distinguished speakers: Prof. Dr. Insan Budi Maulana, Lecturer of the Notarial Affairs Program, Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia; Drs. Yasmon, Director of Cooperation and Education at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP), Ministry of Law and Human Rights; and Mr. Inoue Kazutoshi, Japan International Cooperation Agency Expert and patent examiner from the Japan Patent Office (JPO). The topics ranged from the valuation of patents and legal frameworks to case studies of commercialization and policy implementation at the national and international levels.
By hosting this guest lecture, President University reaffirms its commitment to advancing innovation and intellectual property education. Through collaborations with government bodies and international institutions, PU seeks to create a dynamic learning environment where students are empowered to become innovators and leaders in the knowledge-based economy.
