Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry Attends Bhumandala Festival 2025 at President University

Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, Diaz Faisal Malik Hendropriyono, attended and officially opened the Bhumandala Festival 2025 held at President University on Sunday, April 27th, 2025. The event, organized by President University Serve Environment (Preserve) in commemoration of Earth Day, aimed to raise awareness among young people about the urgency of environmental protection and sustainability efforts.


In his opening remarks, Diaz emphasized the critical role of youth and higher education institutions in driving environmental change. He encouraged students and universities to become active agents in solving environmental problems. His presence at the event highlighted the governmentโ€™s strong support for youth-led environmental movements and cross-sector collaboration.


The festival also welcomed several other key figures, including Edy Priyono, Acting Deputy II of the Presidential Chief of Staff for Economic Affairs and Food, Jo Kumala Dewi, Head of the Environmental Generation Development Center, and Ai Saadiyah Dwidaningsih, Head of the West Java Provincial Environmental Office. Their participation underscored the significance of synergy between government institutions and academic communities in tackling todayโ€™s environmental challenges.


President University reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability through this event. By initiating and organizing the Bhumandala Festival, the university promotes student involvement in real-world environmental issues and advocates for sustainable practices both on and off campus.
