President University once again demonstrated its commitment to cultural preservation through the organization of a class titled "Ngadi Saliro Ngadi Busono: Timeless Javanese Wisdom in Modern Fashion & Identity" on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, in Room A429. The class featured Ibu Tety alongside Syafira, Puteri Indonesia Innovation & Technology 2025, as the keynote speakers. In a warm and interactive setting, students were introduced to the Javanese philosophy emphasizing the harmony between soul and body (ngadi saliro), as well as the importance of dressing in ways that reflect cultural values and proper etiquette (ngadi busono). The messages shared during the session resonated not only culturally, but also offered relevant insights for students navigating identity in the modern age.
With great enthusiasm, Bu Tety conveyed how Indonesiaβs noble cultural values can be gracefully integrated into contemporary lifestyle and fashion. Students actively engaged in the session, realizing that love for culture can be expressed not only through traditional attire, but also through behavior and self-awareness that honor both oneself and others. More than just a fashion class, the event became a moment of reflection on identity, etiquette, and cultural values, key elements in shaping a young generation that is both confident and proud of their cultural roots.
