Tuesday, 3 March 2026— President University held the President University SDGs Symposium at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University Campus, Jababeka City, Cikarang, Bekasi. The event was organized in collaboration with Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) as a forum to discuss the role of higher education in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through innovation, research, and strategic partnerships.
Adhi Setyo Santoso, ST., MBA., Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Research, and Innovation of President University, highlighted the university’s long-standing commitment to internationalization as part of its contribution to sustainable development. He explained that attracting international students not only enriches the academic environment but also contributes economically. “President University has long focused on bringing in international students. This aligns with sustainable development, as international students contribute foreign exchange to Indonesia and support the creation of sustainable education,” he stated.
He further emphasized the importance of collaboration among higher education institutions to enhance quality and competitiveness. According to him, partnerships such as this symposium are essential to ensure that Indonesian universities continue to progress and remain relevant in a global context. “We must work together to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia. We cannot afford to fall behind,” he added.
The symposium brought together speakers from UNIKOM, including Tatan Tawami, M.Hum.; Adi Rachmanto, M.Kom.; Jana Utama, S.T., M.T.; Sri Dewi Anggadini, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA; M. Rajab Fachrizal, S.Kom., M.Kom.; Annisa Paramitha Fadillah, S.Kom., M.Kom.; Myrna Dwi Rahmatya, S.Kom., M.Kom.; Henny, S.T., M.T.; and Yudhistira Soegoto, M.Kom., who shared their perspectives on the role of higher education in supporting sustainable development along with their contributions.
