Tuesday, 10 February 2026— President University continued its public lecture series at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University Campus, featuring Chita Oktapriana, M.Ak., CSRS., CMA, Accounting Lecturer at President University. The session formed part of the discussion on accounting policy and professional judgment in relation to economic development for 2026–2030, focusing on adaptability and continuous development amid rapid technological advancement.
During her presentation, Chita highlighted the dynamic relationship between policy and development. She explained that regulations often emerge in response to innovation and change. “Before something is launched, there is no regulation. But once it exists, policies and regulations follow,” she stated, underscoring the importance of adaptive governance in the financial sector.
Encouraging lifelong learning, she reminded students that graduation does not mark the end of professional growth. She concluded by emphasizing that the most significant challenge lies within individuals themselves. “The biggest challenge is ourselves. If we don’t have the will to learn and no motivation to develop ourselves, we will be left behind,” she stated, reinforcing the importance of initiative and continuous self-improvement in navigating the evolving landscape of accounting.
