Benjamin Wong Shares Strategic Insights in “Selling Ice to Eskimos” Guest Lecture at President University
November 18, 2025

Wednesday, 5 November 2025—President University hosted a guest lecture featuring Benjamin Wong, Co-Founder of Kinshure and Kinobi, who delivered a session titled Selling Ice to Eskimos at the Charles Himawan Auditorium.

Through the topic “How to Sell Ice to Eskimos,” Benjamin encouraged students to understand the importance of creative and value-driven thinking. He shared his journey from studying law and economics to discovering his passion in business and finance, where he learned to build ventures strategically. He also emphasized the importance of mastering financial accounting as a foundation for managing money and achieving long-term financial success.

Benjamin noted that the COVID-19 pandemic became a turning point that made him realize life was too short to be lived without meaning. Motivated by this reflection, he founded Kinobi in 2021, a startup designed to help students prepare for the workforce through features such as an AI-powered CV Builder. Seeing that many young people still struggled with financial literacy, he later launched Kinshure, a financial education platform aimed at helping the younger generation manage their money wisely and prepare for life after university.

He closed his session with a strong message: success is not only about wealth, but also about having the courage to begin and to create a positive impact on the world. (Graciella V, PR Team. Photo: PR Team)
