November 13, 2024
COMPSPHERE, the largest annual technology event at President University (Presuniv), returns with a spirit of collaboration. COMPSPHERE 2024 is a joint effort between the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Art Design & Architecture (FADA). Held at the main Presuniv campus in Jababeka Education Park, Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara, North Cikarang, Bekasi, COMPSPHERE took place from Monday, November 11 to Wednesday, November 13, 2024, with the theme Artistry in Motion, Technology in Action. This theme reflects the blend of innovation and creativity in technology and art.

One of the main sessions of COMPSPHERE 2024 was TALKSPHERE, which invited inspirational figures in the field of technology. Among them was Muhammad Reza Erfit, an AI content creator and Chief Marketing Officer of PT Hidata Teknologi Digital. Alongside Presuniv lecturers, Reza shared insights into cutting-edge technological developments and the importance of creativity in driving innovation. This talk show provided refreshing perspectives for students eager to explore the potential of technology and art.

In addition to TALKSPHERE, there was also EXPOSPHERE, showcasing various creative projects developed by students from the 2021–2023 batches. Some of the innovative projects exhibited included Smart Pet Feeder, Game Renara, VR Chat: Disaster Management, Sign Mate, Heart Sync, Eye Care, and SkinCheck.ai. Notably, the SkinCheck.ai project, already available on the Play Store, secured an investment of US$10,000 from Google. With a development period of only about three months, these projects demonstrate the high dedication and skill of Presuniv students in creating relevant solutions ready to compete in the industry.

COMPSPHERE also celebrated student contributions through the FESTSPHERE session. This festival featured artistic performances by talented students, followed by an awards session in various categories, including Art Submissions and Tech Submissions. Faculty members also participated in the Lecturer Voting Program, a form of appreciation involving the Informatics, Information Systems, Interior Design, and Visual Communication Design study programs.

The event also captivated new students, especially those interested in exploring the future of technology and art. COMPSPHERE provided an opportunity for students to explore their talents and interests in a collaborative environment while preparing for future industry challenges.

According to Bintang Wira Gemilang, Project Manager of COMPSPHERE 2024, cross-faculty collaboration was a key focus of this year’s event. Bintang hinted that starting next year, the event would be developed separately for each faculty, along with tailored programs.

Held since 2015, COMPSPHERE has become a platform for student development at Presuniv. The event not only serves as a showcase of creativity but also encourages students to innovate and unlock their potential in technology and art. COMPSPHERE 2024 has reinforced its position as an essential platform for young generations to pursue their dreams and explore limitless potential.
