On Friday, September 13, 2024, President University (Presuniv), in collaboration with PT Jababeka Tbk, Chindo Business Center, and HRI Group, held the 2024 Mandarin Career Expo at the President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jl. H. Usmar Ismail, Kota Jababeka, Cikarang. The event aimed to facilitate student’s and graduate’s careers and to raise awareness about the importance of learning multiple languages for their future career growth.









In his opening speech, Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Rector of Presuniv, discussed the increasingly competitive job market. “Today, many students and graduates are fluent in both Indonesian and English. To enhance competitiveness, we need to learn other languages, such as Mandarin,” Handa explained. He added, “The Internship and Career Center at Presuniv has received many requests for students proficient in Mandarin, which reflects the demand for Mandarin-speaking workers in Indonesia today.”



















The 2024 Mandarin Career Expo also featured performances by Presuniv students. Huang Yiting, a student from the 2023 Accounting study program and a native of China, showcased her talent in traditional Chinese dance in front of the attendees. Additionally, Jocelyn Shandy from the 2023 Communication study program displayed her Mandarin skills by performing the song Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin by Teresa Teng. (Graciella V, PR Team.
