Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the People’s Republic of China, Believes that the Establishment of ICPI Strengthens Indonesia–China Mutual Trust and Cooperation

Thursday, 15 January 2026—Still during the inauguration of the Indonesia–China Partnership Institution (ICPI) at President University, H.E. Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the People’s Republic of China, described the establishment of ICPI as a strategic milestone in strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and China.

According to him, institutions such as ICPI play a vital role as bridges that reinforce people-to-people connections while preserving mutual trust between the two nations. Through its programs and activities, ICPI is expected to encourage dialogue, mutual understanding, and knowledge-based collaboration. He emphasized that “the establishment of ICPI represents a strategic moment, as institutions like ICPI can strengthen connections between societies while maintaining mutual trust.”

Ambassador Oratmangun also expressed his appreciation to President University for its leadership and commitment in advancing academic exchange. He noted that investment in academic cooperation, including the provision of scholarships for Chinese students, constitutes a long-term investment in the future of Indonesia–China relations, reinforcing the role of education as a foundation for sustainable bilateral partnership.
