Tuesday, 10 February 2026—President University held the 17th President University Lyrics Unplugged (PULU) featuring Maya Hasan at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University Campus, Jababeka City.
During the session, Maya Hasan discussed how music can play a role beyond performance, particularly in supporting daily academic routines. She explained that listening to music intentionally can help individuals manage stress and regain focus after long hours of studying or teaching. “Music can help relieve stress after a full day of studying or teaching,” she said. She encouraged the audience to choose music based on their personal preferences, as different sounds can affect individuals in different ways.
The session further explored how music influences concentration and personal awareness. Maya Hasan highlighted that individuals respond differently to sound, and being mindful of what they listen to is important. She noted that music should be chosen consciously based on personal preference, rather than simply following trends.
As part of the university’s monthly program, the 17th PULU provided students and lecturers with the opportunity to engage in a discussion that connected music with everyday academic life. The event combined artistic presentation with reflection, allowing participants to gain insights from a professional musician within an academic setting. (Herell Chantika, PR Team. Photo: PR Team)
