Jony focuses his research on marketing to children, relationship marketing, and consumer behavior. Jony has published his work at International Journal of Market Research, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research,  ASEAN marketing journal, Asia Pasific Journal of Marketing Logistics, etc.

Jony got his bachelor degree in marketing from Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga, Indonesia, at 2000. He also hold Master degree in Marketing from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, at 2002. He then furthered his study at University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia for Ph.D. in marketing at 2008.
