Gibran Mahesa Drajat graduated with two MA degrees in International Relations (Contemporary Pacific Asia) and Global Studies from the University of Birmingham and Sophia University respectively. Prior to that, he worked as assisting staff at the Office of Special Staff of the Indonesian President for International Relations after completing his BA degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman. 

Gibran’s research interest includes the topic of regional cooperation under the ASEAN Political-Security Community Building with particular attention on Democracy and Human Rights Promotion, ASEAN external relationship particularly with Japan, and Conflict Management Mechanisms in the region.
