Filson holds a Bachelor and Master Degree from Institute of Technology Bandung, majoring in Environmental Engineering. His concentration was environmental management and technology. His interest and experience is in some projects, such as: solid waste management, OHSAS, Environmental Awareness, PROPER, Air Quality Management and Air Pollution Control.

His consistency in education, research,  and work experience in Environmental engineering makes him an expert.  He joined President University in January 2014 and gave high contribution in developing Environmental Engineering Study Program.
