Eka, has two specialties, actuarial science, and mathematics education. For his research, he analyses and discuses about actual issues related to General Insurance, especially crop insurance, and also issues related to mathematics education. Currently, he continues his study at the University of Waterloo, to enrich his knowledge in life insurance and risk theory.

Along with his activity as a lecturer in President University, he also acted to give some workshop and training for student and professional who seeks success in professional actuarial tests such as PAI and SOA. He also spends his time writing a book and manual solution from PAI and SOA exams. He now undergo some project such as developing website ruang-aktuaris.id and collaborate with an international institution to make tryout for Financial Mathematics test.
