Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Sampurasun.

May peace be upon us all.

Shalom, Om swastiastu, namo buddhaya, greetings of virtue.

To the honorable the Rector of President University and other the Leaders of President University.

To the honorable the President University students.

My name is Ridwan Kamil, Governor of West Java. With gratitude to the presence of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, I am delighted to attend this event even though it is virtual.

We know that two things are currently being disrupted. First, the disruption of Industry 4.0, where internet technology is rapidly revolutionizing and replacing routine tasks so that there will be 80 million jobs lost, but 100 million jobs will also be present. The disruption of Industry 4.0 has lost routine jobs, which will be replaced by the internet of things, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc.

Second, disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously, we thought the Covid-19 pandemic was just a health issue, like dengue fever. Apparently, the Covid-19 pandemic requires healthy people to be disconnected and their interactions limited. That is, the origin of the multidimensional crisis is when human interaction is stopped, reduced, and limited.

Alhamdullilah, today the hospital occupancy in West Java is only 3% from its peak of 90% in July. We know that the impact of Covid-19 is not only on the health sector but also on economic, social, mental health, and so on. From an economic sector, there are hundreds of thousands lost on the road, millions in restaurants and hotels, billions in businesses and companies, and trillions lost in government like us. We lost IDR 5 trillion in revenue due to Covid-19, so that we could not do many development activities.

This Covid gives lessons that those who can adapt are the survivors. So, I pray for the students to become a generation of survivors. The generation that can adapt to the new normal. The key is to be responsive and adaptive.

There are six new cultures in the Covid-19 pandemic as the new era. First, we will be more aware of health. West Java is aware of the lack of health infrastructure. We will increase the number of hospitals and community health centers that are too few to be two to three times. Second, digital skills are the main thing. In the past, digital skills were optional. Now, digital skills are mandatory. If you cannot master digital skills, you will definitely miss the "train."

Third, the culture used to require people to live, work, and play in different places, but now we can still be productive by staying in the same place by working and recreation. Then, adaptation in this era of covid was born. Unlike other businesses, the food and digital economy are on the rise. In the future, it is possible to live in a village, live in a city, and have a global business with a food economy through digital.

For that, we produce millennial farmers. So, you can feed fish using your smartphone, and you do not use your hands anymore, likewise with watering plants and so on. E-commerce is a place to sell it. Then we no longer have tactile communication, such as "cipika-cipiki" or handshakes.

Last, the Covid-19 pandemic creates a spirit of togetherness. Based on this year's survey, the most generous society in the world is Indonesians. Indonesians are kind, helpful people, and during this pandemic, mutual support increases tremendously. Those are the six new phenomena.

If students want to be winners in the future. First, respond, master, and adapt maximally to the disruption of Industry 4.0. Second, Seek dynamic work fields, such as managing data, business development, marketing, problem-solving, conflict solving, and leadership. Those are future jobs related to Industry 4.0.

Disruption by Covid-19 is the same. Be a winner by being aware more about your health and being a civilized human being. Finally, Indonesia is predicted to become a superpower country in 2045. Why the year 2045? Because it is 100 years of Indonesia's independence. In 1945, we were proclaimed to be an independent country. In 2045 we proclaim to be a superpower country.

There are three conditions. First, democracy must be peaceful. We pray that there will be no more fights during the presidential election, gubernatorial election, regional election, and so on. Based on the Pekan Olahraga Nasional where West Java is the champion. Everyone competed, attacked, and smashed each other, but we shook hands and remained friends after that. That is also what must be done in the world of politics.

Second, we have to maintain 5% economic growth until 2045. Master the digital economy. The third condition is that you must be productive, competitive, master digital, master English, master leadership skills, etc. If the conditions are peaceful democracy, 5% economy, and competitive also productive have been carried out. Then by 2045, we will become the number three or number four superpower country in the world.

Last, there are four human values ??that we must master. First, the physical must be healthy. Food intake and exercise are essential. Second, the brain must be intelligent with an excellent Intelligence Quotient (IQ) through its intake, namely learning. Third, must have good character or have an excellent Emotional Quotient (EQ). Fourth, must be an expert in worship with an excellent Spiritual Quotient (SQ). Moreover, the first sila of Pancasila is Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa.

Keep Indonesia from division because today's problems people are easy to fight in any name. So, if Indonesia wants to survive and you want to be a leader, let us stay away from narratives of division. President University students must be at the forefront of bringing narratives of unity and peace.

See you in 2045, when Indonesia becomes a superpower country, when the students who listened to my speech were already leaders, CEOs, or Governors of West Java, maybe even presidents. In 2045, I will be elderly. I hope Allah grants what I say.

Thank you for the opportunity.
Thank you, keep the spirit. Be an adaptive generation to be the winner of the future. That is all I can say, and hopefully, it will be helpful as a provision.

pantun from me, ikan hiu ketusuk peniti. I love you President University.

Thank you. Wassalammualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
